Research

The cornerstone in successfully treating all forms of feline and canine cancers is research. Research is what give us a better understanding of why and how dog and cat cancers develop, how cancers can be treated, how they can be diagnosed early, and how they can be prevented.

Research not only leads directly to more effective treatments for dogs and cats, but lessons learned by studying canine cancer are often helpful developing treatments for human forms of cancer as well.

Early diagnosis is key and research leads to a fuller understanding the tell-tale signs that a cancer is growing, allowing for the development of more specific tests and earlier diagnosis of cancers that afflict dogs and cats.

Once the fundraising phase of the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund is further underway, we will be requesting grant applications and funding research projects. In order to achieve this goal we are soliciting funds from individuals, corporations and governmental grant agencies. If you would like to help, please consider making a donation.
