The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund was founded in 2007 to honor the memory of Oly and Zuke, both of whom succumbed to canine cancer, and to help prevent the loss of more dogs and cats to the cancer. Oly was a Golden Retriever who passed away from canine hemangiosarcoma in 1990. He was only 8 years old.

In 1994 Patrick got a Chocolate Labrador puppy and named him “Zuke”. Zuke was full of boundless energy, which resulted in the founding of a company in his name, Zuke’s Performance Pet Nutrition. At the age of 7, Zuke was diagnosed with canine lung cancer and ultimately passed away in 2001.

In honor of Oly and Zuke we founded the Dog & Cat Cancer Fund. Zuke’s commitment to the health of dogs and cats is evident in their products and in their pledge to donate a percentage of annual profits to the Dog and Cat Cancer fund every year. Zuke’s committed $10,000.00 USD to the cause in 2008 and over $15,000  in 2009.
